Shopping List

I laugh at the shopping list of my workmate because there is one in it that is not so common to all of us.  Number 5 in the list is a colon cleanser her son is asking her to buy. Her son belongs to the schedule that will do the enema return demo on Monday and he wanted to do some cleansing before the said date.

I have never tried enema yet because I did not reach that course. If i continued my nursing course the 2nd year, then for sure I will experience that enema return demonstration.

I pity my students last night when they told me they felt weak and tired because of their return demo. I guess they were so stressed out trying the enema on themselves.

My friend will not be off shopping in awhile. I am not going with her because the electric power will be off in awhile for the daily 2 hrs power interruption (to conserve water supply)

Call Me

My first for this year! I checked when was the last and it shows the last one was November 9. Tsk tsk tsk where was I all this time? :) Anyway, i wish you all S9 friends a happy and productive New Year 2010!

Saturday 9: Call Me

1. Who is someone that phones you routinely that you never seem to be up to talk to, but you are not ready to push them out of your life?  None.  I wish there’s one. lol!

2. What is something that effects you deeply, to your core, no matter your mood or what else is going on in your life?  People who can’t just be happy for you or for someone or their friends.  They are just so full of negative thoughts or ideas about your or what you are doing. Haiii i wonder when are they going to leave this earth.

3. Tell us of something that relaxes you and always makes you happy.  Cuddled up in bed with a very fluffy pillow and good book with a very fine weather.  In a quiet environment.  (Mountain please)

4. If you could take the train from anywhere to anywhere, where would ‘anywhere’ be?  Europe? All over Europe.  Although never been there.

5. If you could look into the future, how far down the road would you like to see? 10 years? 100 years? A million?  Just a year or two. :)

6. Did you do your shopping online for this Christmas, how did it go? Did things come in on time? Any significant failures? …and if you didn’t, will you consider trying online shopping sometime this year?  Nope.  I did my shopping early January. :)   And maybe will never shop online ever.  I love the feelign going around shops to pick a present for friends and family.

7. What people or projects are worth your time, money or effort?  My daughter.  My Mom.  My friends.  My job.  And the very least fortunate.

8. Think back when you were in high school. Are you proud of the way you dressed, or do you wish you could go back and change it all?  Hmmm i think i was doing ok.  It was the prescribed dress code.  Am schooling in a boarding school eh where  you can’t go around campus in shorts and sleeveless tops.

9. Do any of your friends, family or co-workers know about your blogs? For those that do, did you tell them or have they stumbled upon it by themselves?  My friends and family yes.  Co – workers?  Some. :)

An Evening at Holiday Pool

It is not always that we spend an evening at a pool here in the place called the City of Waterfalls.  Thanks to the 12th Adventist Health Professionals Association Convention the Saturday evening activity was swimming at the pool.   Luckily the peace and order situation here in the city is good so no one have second thoughts of going out swimming in the evening.

The visitors from nearby places enjoyed the night eating, swimming, chatting, and just bonding with fellow AHPA members.

Dimple also got a long weekend, so she spent two of those nights with me.  She was one of those who enjoyed the cool cold water (flowing spring water) that evening.

Let me share some of our photos:

- there were 3 subdivisions of pools – one for the kids, one for the adults (swimmers) and one for adults who does not know how to swim. -  The place were i enjoyed swimming.

PB280007

- they are both excited to swim. Ma’am Jaedee can swim.  But dimple can’t but the daring spirit of my daughter allow her to venture even the deepest of that swimmer’s pool. -

If you will ask me where i was, i was only a sidepool buddy.  Holding to the rails because i feel like the water or the heights or depths is sucking me up.

The place is already beautified for the season but my camera did not capture them beautifully.  What attracted me are the bright colors of the handrails on the minibridge and the canopy at the sidepool

PB280012

PB280027

- take note of the bright yellow and orange. they are so attractive to the eyes even in the evening.  so i can just imagine the brighth glow it brings to the blue waters during day time.

PB280015

- this is what you can see at the kiddie pool. :)   my daughter says she’s too old for that area.  -

More more pictorials of us:

PB280019

- i can’t swim like a professional swimmer but i did have fun that night! -

We went home in our wet suits and there was no water in our dormitory.  Luckily the bathrooms in our office got water pouring so we have to bath in the office. :)

Had carbonara is our midnight snack before i decided to call it a night.  I think Dimple went to sleep at past 1 am already.

A friend’s final home on earth – Cagayan de Oro Gardens.

It was a nice day yesterday — blue sky, whispy clouds and cool breeze, comforting us that our parted friend and loved one will be in a very comfortable place.

Do You Chat?

There was a time in my life that i spent many hours online chatting.  That lasted for almost five years.  Those times were actually good although there were times it was also bad.  And those years of chatting ws only spent talking to one person.  Aside from my girlfriends online, my schoolmates and classmates, i gave my attention to only one stranger – stranger turned friend and close friend.  Then time came when that close friend was gone.  Gone like the wind.  Sometimes it comes and sometimes it never comes.  Since that time i never visit the chatrooms again.  Lately i thought of going back online to chat – not in friendship rooms but in rooms where discussion happens.  I think the best place is Free Catholic Chat. I love talking about religion.  I love sharing about what i believe in.  I love sharing my faith.  And i am open minded too to listen to what others believe in.   I hope that one day, i will find an open minded person in this catholic chat – one who can accept other people’s belief.

Tuesday Toot {Feb 24}

It’s been awhile since my last post for Tuesday Toot because I just felt that a single toot is not worth tooting. lol! But today even i just have only a few, id like to make a toot entry.

1. Today started the Week of Spiritual emphasis. And in the two sessions, i felt that the words of study is speaking to me. It’s feels like it’s coaching me to wake up to realize that i should live my life more meaningful.

2. My girl is growing each day and she sees what am going through. Number one problem these days is financial and last Saturday she asked me why am not in Bangkok working. She knew that if i am going abroad i would be very uptodate in paying her school expenses. I told her that am staying for now because i want to see her grow be by her side as she studies. I told her that she should pray hard that something more better will happen to this present job.

3.   Two weeks ago i was moved to a new department.    The job assignments were not too easy nor too hard.  AT times i get the methods right away but when there are too many things to do, i forgot so i kept on asking.  The other day, i made my personal notes in a small notepad so that i can glance at it everytime i forget.  Since the November 2008 Nursing Licensure Exam result was out last Friday and then yesterday was a holiday so i got busy today updating the statistics and i’ve done the two courses.  One more to go for tomorrow then am done.

Unpredictable Weather

The weather is really unpredictable this week.  The other day it rained but not so strong.  So i thought yesterday it would be the same the weather will be cold and wet.  But i was wrong.  The weather was really good that my trip to Cagayan de Oro with Dimple last night was so comfortable.

Today, the morning was fine, but at 1:30 it rained so hard as in hard that the result is this –

–these at work.  When the faculty & staff meeting was over at 3:30 i have to run barefoot on this water because i was in a hurry. :D — With that deep i was already guessing that possibly at my home, the water is deep too — so i was not mistaken. hehhehee

–i decided not to wade on this water sooo i called for a boots.  And here’s ME
