That’s me under the oldest stone arch bridge in the world – The Zhaozhou Bridge. I thought my boss was joking when she told me that we are off to a place that holds a world title. THE OLDEST IN THE WORLD. And i remember that long time ago, i searched for more info of the bridge and indeed this bridge is really ancient.
My boss, Alison planned this trip for me. She did not plan a big trip for me after my yearlong contract because i decided to go home for a short break. She shouldered my fair back and forth. That’s the nice thing about working there and finishing a contact. I was not her only foreign teacher that time but when i contacted my companions they declined as we left for Zhaozhou county on a Sunday morning and my companions thing it is still a holy hour (sleeping time).
It was just me and Alison and her little son. I enjoyed the trip. I felt so lucky working and staying in Shijiazhuang City because it gave me the chance to see this bridge.
