Thank you DARE

DARE means Dietary Approach to Reduce Excess Weight.  A program made by the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital   Thanks to DARE because it is a fun way to bit by bit shed the excess pounds.  It is fun because it is done with friends.  We challenge each other to really stick to the diet plan.  So far am doing good.  My tummy size has shrink.   I am given 42 weeks and now am on the 40th week.  Two weeks has passed and still I haven’t gained back what I lost during the experimental program.  If i will couple this program with exercise I know that the effect would be more visible at a short time.  I now have a sauna suite that hasn’t been worn since i purchased it.  I also thought of buying a yoga mat so that i can do some yoga at home. I am still asking my other girl friends if they want to buy so that we can buy together.

I just turned 39 lately and I hope that by the time I reach 40, have lost most of the excess pounds. I like the thought of Getting Fit to Forty. ^^

Gym Stuff

I was in the gym this afternoon.  It’s been awhile i haven’t been there.  I lost some weight and I need to work out in some areas of my body so that i won’t have too much sagging fatless skin.  I need to tone some parts.

While there i saw some guys enjoying at the pull up bar section and i said to myself that one day, when i am lighter enough i will also do some routines there. I remember back in college in PE I, i don’t have a big grade on the pull up bar session because i did not last for long minutes. hahaha I did not practice much so during the final session, i did not last longer than 60 seconds. But still i passed the subject.

I will be on leave beginning tomorrow but it is not yet final if we will be traveling. I am not feeling very well that i want to postpone the leave. If we can’t leave then am back in the gym in the afternoon.

Weigh In Weigh Out

While doing regular exercise, i observed that some ladies after their routines they hit the scales right away. It makes me wonder if there is much difference on the result if they weigh themselves before routines and after.

Personally, I don’t do that. I check on my weight progress once in every two weeks or every other week. In that way i don’t feel discourage if i can’t see the pointer budge lower if i try to weigh in daily.

Funny thing is that the weighing scale in the rehab center makes us weigh heavier compared to the scale in the OPD. So some ladies took time to also weigh in at the OPD hall.   Maybe one day i will suggest to our Dean at the Dorm that we will buy our own portable scale so that our ladies can weigh themselves from time to time so that they will be conscious of their weight.  They need to exercise as most of them just don’t have time to exercise.

Dieting and Pills

I really cannot say I am on a diet.  But I am watching the quantity and quality of the food am putting in my mouth since i started going back to the gym.  Why?  Because i would like to lose these unwanted pounds.  Don’t ask me anymore how much i weigh but am way way beyond my ideal weight.  At times  i thought of regularly use those teas with diet effect but it does not work for me at work when i hear my tummy grumbling.  It’s so uncomfortable. Pills?  I am not sure.

There is a new pill they are introducing online now and it is called apidexin . They said that this is the solution to diet problems. It is being ranked as the number one weight loss pilsl by the consumers as well as the diet experts. I really can’t agree on that because i haven’t tried it so maybe later i can say it works because it is what my cousin is using now.  I have this cousin who is so crazy about her size that she wanna stay slim and petite forever that she gets hysterical if she misses her gym session after eating a slice of chocolate cake.  I think she sounds so over at times. lol!  But that’s my cousin.  :)

She told me she will send me the money to buy the pills.  I thanked her but all i have in mind is to buy a new pair of footwear if ever that money comes.  Id just better hit the gym regularly and lessen the rice intake. :)

Hitting the Goal

I can say that i’ve been regularly visiting the gym.  Several friends already commented that i have lost weight.  Oh yeah i did but it is not yet enough.  I still have to lose more and also to be able to use the pull up bar . Because if i can do so then i would say i will be better off than when i was in college.  Many have said i looked so good and fit while in college because of course i was thin and my problems those days were not yet much as it is now — but then i have a hard time doing pull up bars.  That is one part i hate about during PE time.  If you ask me what i love best about my PE – oh well, i just love watching my classmates doing their routines. hehehe

I hope to hit the goal this year.  What goal?  My desired weight. :)

It’s Going to be Gym Time

Tomorrow is the day.  It was back to work last week and the first week of the year and the first week after a long vacation so it was a busy week.  But tomorrow is going to be a new week and there is now more excuse is not going to the gym and hit the treadmill . My routine gym activities starts with the treadmill. I usually last for first 15 minutes and then do another thing until i have to get back later to it to do another 15. I just can’t do the straight 30 minutes.  I got a friend who can really do the straight 30 minutes and she is doing great.   Tomorrow we are going to meet and it will be a nice morning.
