Green Monday – @ Sunken Cemetery, Camiguin Island

The first time i set foot in this place was in summer 2008. The first thing that pop into my mind was “am gonna get married here”! lol! I love the greens. The area was wide enough for a big and elegant lawn wedding.

This place is at the sunken church/cemetery in Camiguin Island. :)  The sea and the cemetery is a few steps walk from this green lawn.

Thinking about that thought, i realized that I am not going to be married there anymore. There are so many great places for lawn weddings and everytime i see one, i wanted it to be at that place. hehehe

Fickleminded me eh.

CAMIGUIN ISLAND THE FIRST TIME

The first time i was there was in 1993 during the Holy week weekend. I was with my boyfriend (my long time college bf) ;-) To me it was an unplanned trip destination. I knew we were going somewhere but he did not disclose the destination not until we were already on the bus. I really gave him a face when i heard him telling the ticket guy our destination. I was mad inside. I was mad at him but can’t lash out because we were already in the public. So inside i was mad. I did not speak again until we reached the destination.

We took some nice pictures the next day.   They are in my album and in “our abum”, too but that “our album” is with him.  The photo am using here is one i took in summer 2008 but the view is the same view me and bf had as a background in 1993. My first memory of White Island, Camiguin is with my boyfriend.  Another thing i can’t forget are the three ladies staying in the same inn with us and they are vying for his attention.

On our trip towards Benoni, I was fuming mad because he sat between the two ladies and i was sitting across him.  And i can see the ladies intentionally making me jealous by sitting close to him and one other guy trying to rest her head on his shoulder.

After the trip, i told him, that next time or on our next trip, he should include me in the planning so that it would be more fun. I could also put in some suggestions to make the trip more memorable.

Sky Watch Friday # 50

One year ago tomorrow, me and some General Education faculty went off to Camiguin Island, around 4 hours travel from my hometown.  It was a very sunny day or it’s one of the typical summer sunny day.  So my sky photos here today will be of that trip.

After more than 3 hours travel, we arrived at Balinguan, Misamis Oriental where we would take the ferry to the main island.

On board the barge going to the island, i took the chance to shoot the sky of the mainland we were leaving behind:

We arrived the SDA church in Catarman in the afternoon.   Be We did not go out anymore because we prepared for the Sabbath.  We attend the vespers Friday evening then Saturday attended the church services because it was just a few steps away from our accommodation.  Afternoon it rained but fortunately after the AY program the rain stopped so we decided to go to the Walkway.  Several of our companions reached the end station but for me and other ladies, we walked just until the cemented pathway and then started to go down.  ON the way down, i tried to take some sky photos–

After that walkway, we had dinner and after dinner we went to the Ardent Spring. Sunday came and i have so many sky photos but will just share with you one of the skies — let’s say, it’s my favorite or one of my top three favorites:

Top photo – we rode one of those in going to White Island.

Middle photo – one of the sky photos i took while already at the white island.

Third photo – a sky photo above the Mt. Hibok Hibok.  Still taken from the white island.

These are all for now.  I hope everyone will enjoy the week-end.  We will have a long week-end over here because we don’t work on May 1 – Labor Day.
