First time at Submarine Bridge (passage to Mt. Agad-Agad)

Mt. Agad-Agad is the highest land body in Iligan City.  Barely a 5 kilometers from the bridge and back.  The challenge is that — it is an uphill climb right at the beginning, so it is a good place to to have morning walks for people with weight problems like me.

Anyway, first thing I realized when I got there this morning, were traces of the typhon Sendong that hit our city one fateful night in December 2011.

Surely this place was impassable during the flood.  They said the water was so deep that it reaches the road.

Yeah, my friend’s family are going there anytime soon.  I thought she did not know of the offer. I only discovered this when I was browsing through top 20 Orlando Attractions and the Sea World is one of it.  If only Dimple and I can make it there before the offer expires, surely we would be packing our backpacks now for a weekend treat.

Package deals are great grabs for families on vacation.  It’s one way to save if saving is still in mind when the vacation is only done once a year.  But yes, grabbing sales is one of the economic tips I read from one of my groups magazines.

Why Orlando vacations for my cousin’s family? Because they are just one state away.  They are now living in Georgia and they are planning to visit her sister who resides in Orlando.  Now she is busy completing their itinerary and the top 20 list really helped her a lot.  For sure visiting Disneyland is also on top list and I reminder her not to forget Kennedy Space Center.  She is sure that they will have one great blast of a vacation.

One Fine Sabbath Morning

PhotobucketIt was one fine Sabbath morning and I find myself with the Gen Ed family in one of the homes in Dumingag. This was my first trip to Dumingag and particularly in the campus of Western Mindanao Academy. Our school was invited to present a program that Sabbath morning. It was also part of the promotion of the school.

We traveled going there Friday after lunch and we arrived late in the afternoon. It was quite sometime of a travel. Luckily I was seated in the front seat with Ma’am Lai or else I will not feel so comfy if I was seated at the back. The one who drived us going there was Kuya Nonoy. Sigh. Missing Kuya now. Wherever you are now Kuya, we always miss you.

It’s early morning over at my end and I just finished going through some old photos and am reminded of the day when these pics was taken. It was one fine day. The sun shone so brightly that morning. It was so humid. Good thing it rained in the afternoon and made our trip back a bit pleasant.

R & R @ Lake Apo

Today is not one of my lazy day but I am wishing am out somewhere doing and R & R at Lake Apo in Bukidnon.  I’ve been there once and I when I left I promised that I have to go back once more if not many times.

The place, Dr. Almer called it “The Timeless Place” is an idyllic place to for relaxation.  Far from the noise of city life.  Life can be peaceful because it’s not anytime that your phone will beep for an incoming message or will ring for an incoming call. If your mind is really set to be free from city hustle and bustle at least for the weekend, you will be able to leave the place refreshed and rejuvinated.

The view there was really breathtaking that if the rest house have if they have they have one of those Adirondack rocking chair at AdirondackChairs.com, then you would enjoy the view in a more relaxing way. They do have reclining wooden seats that adds up to the elegant country living, but I wish they also have the rocking chairs.

Express Service at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe, Subic

I had the chance to try the services of Extremely Xpresso Cafe in Subic Bay, Olongapo City the other year.  Our host (Mitch of Mitchteryosa) treated me and some of our Kuro Kapatid for a dinner there.  It was the first time Mitch and I met after more than six years of being online friends.  That was my first personal trip to Manila after sometime and I did not let the chance pass by without meeting her for real.

PhotobucketOne of the things I observed was the quick serving of orders.  No wonder the place is full.  Foreign service men also loves to dine there with their families.  I bet one of the reasons why people keep coming back is because of the systematic Restaurant System they got. For some people, time is very precious and dilly-dallying is not in their vocabulary.  So we were lucky that time, because no time was wasted as some of our friends has to travel back to Manila that afternoon.

I woke up late because I slept so late.  Morning na actually because I did some laundry.  I am suppose to leave now because I have an appointment in my daughter’s school but decided I will just go later after I am done with all my tasks.  So first thing in mind, I will update my blogs.  Unfortunately when I checked my website (two) I cannot access both.  So I left a message on the hosting wall at FB of my wonderwoman host, Ruby Ricafrented that my blogs are down.  She then recommend me to do the steps being written on the post.

I was apprehensive thinking I’d make a mistake.  But I just tried and indeed it was successful and I got connected.
