Play Parks: Ideal for Kids

People love the parks because it is a place where they can relax amidst nature family and friends.  Usually the peak time in play parks or garden parks is in the early hours of the morning because they make the park as a best place to do their morning exercise.  Thinking of exercise, it always reminds me why all Chinese parks are filled with elderly and even young adults.  It is their ideal place to relax and have fun with their friends.  And the other time is in the early evening where many people – young and old enjoy the lights and the lightness of the evening.  In great weather,. it’s nice to spend some evening at the Park.

A developer mentioned to a buyer that kid play sets at their recreation center can make the place child friendly.  That is why there are some big parks that have several nooks for play sets and they are intended for little children.  It is a corner in the park where you can hear the innocent laugh and shrieks of kids playing.  At one corner too you can hear a kid crying because maybe he or she got a bad fall from one of the swings.  But no matter what kind of misfortune these little kids experience at the park, they still look forward to the next time their parents bring them there to play.

If I am just that rich then I maybe I will donate a play set for our Pediatric lounge. ^^

 

Julep for Beautiful Nails

Some men call the ladies vain because there are many things they need to maintain to look good and feel good.   Dress and shoes must be of the same color and if you have much, same color as the bag and other accessories.  To feel good, a lady can use as much as one hour to prepare herself to go out because after bathing or shower, there would be layers and layers of cream to be applied on the face for the purpose of maintaining the elasticity of the skin.

One of the things ladies do regularly aside from the regimen I mentioned above is the pedicure after a foot spa.  We make sure that at least we do the pedicure once every two weeks.  Others even have it every week.  I do go to the parlor once in two weeks but I change colors as much as three times in a week.  I love nail polish.  I love to have a collection of colors at home as they can easily in the mall and some beauty shops.   I bought around 4 colors the last time I purchased nail polish.  I cannot use them at one time but I love to see them in a box together.

I have a person who does the pedi on me regularly and they do handle my foot with care.  I will be seeing them at the end of this week.  Since I love also shopping online for beauty stuff, I will also buy nail polish from Julep for a girl friend’s shower party.  She got a box of more than 50 beautiful colors and I love to add a new color to it.

Eyeing a Holiday in Turkey

Earthquake with an almost 7 magnitude hit central Philippines yesterday.  It rippled to coastal places in Mindanao too that the only thing I could think as after math would be a tsunami.  It was the first earthquake I experience that I really ran out of the building. Probably the number reason is that I am working in a building with 5 more floors above me.  I really feel dizzy afterwards and also I was so scared.

I was scared and I have wild imaginations yet I am praying that all will just be well this year so that all my travel plans can be materialized.  Yes these calamities happening are signs of the times and He is coming soon, yet we still have to go on living our lives to the fullest while waiting.  There is one more promotion that I saw lately – the turkey holidays deal that looks nice to grab.  I wish I have so much money to make these trips.    But to those who can afford, they should check out deal checker to grab the latest promo.

I dream that one day, I can hop on one of the Mediterranean cruises.  It is just all wishing for now but somehow one day in the future they will become real.

Convenient Traveling around Mindanao

A friend is home from the US.  It’s her first after 20 years.  While preparing for her trip, she exclaims that so much has changed in the Philippines and looks forward to seeing the vivid changes of places.  One thing I was worried about was the heat.  Temperature is abnormally high these days compared to the time when she was still a a teen-ager.  Now that her age has increased plus the load of weight she had on, I am sure it would take a lot of effort on her side to adjust.  So I told her that I will be asking some friends if they knew of any rent-a-car agencies who can provide rent car services just like the US.  She told me it is so easy to find that in the US because one can just search for car hire usa in google pages and in just a click, list of companies are there.

I told her that do not expect too much excellent improvement of things because her home country is still far behind in service improvements compared to her adoptive country.  And that made her sigh with understanding.  She is now here and of course has hired a van that takes her to several places in Mindanao. She will be here for two weeks to cover some trips to Davao, General Santos, and Zamboanga City after spending three days in Iligan City, the one she proudly calls, her hometown.

Traveling around Mindanao in a private transportation is more convenient than taking a bus.  It allows you to go by your own pace.  You can stop anytime you want to and run all the way to your next destination.  It’s more fun actually.  I’ve tried a road trip all the way from Iligan to General Santos city via North Cotabato and from Iligan City to Zamboanga City.

Grabbing Cheap Holiday Deals

I have a big family but most of the time “my family” comprises me and my daughter.   With a meager salary, I can’t bring my whole family on a vacation abroad at one time.  So if time and money allows, and I can find some cheap holidays deals, then I want my daughter and I to fly in some Southeast Asian country for a holiday.  If  I have more, then my sis and her son can also tag along.

Cebu Pacific allows me to make trips to nearby countries and even will allow me to tour major destinations of the Philippines.  All I need is time.  I am only allowed 2 offical leaves for the whole year, so that discourages me to grab sale tickets every time it is on.

This year, am off to Vietnam and Malaysia and that is enough for now. With these two trips, I also hope I can managed a side trip to Puerto Galera.

Planning the trip makes me excited and wanted the time to come by faster than it should be.  Planning is very important for one to have a very memorable trip.  I will be travelling with my friends to Vietnam so for sure it’s going to be real exciting.   I cannot say that we are already 100% ready to take the trip.  There are still several important things to do before heading out to Ho Chi Minh and number one of that is save more money so that visiting Ben Thanh Market will not be a disappointment.  Thanks to cheap ticket deals because we can have more pesos to be add up to our allowances.

 

Saving for a Guitar and a Guitar Stand

My daughter have guitar and I do not like using it because it is hers.  So personally, I am saving up to buy my own guitar and hopefully when there is enough extra, I will also buy a guitar stand. There are sale guitar stands online but I can’t buy now since I still don’t have the guitar. What to do with a stand when I do not have the thing to be placed in the stand. Right? I also asked my daughter if she is interested if I will buy one for her, she said, not for now as she is majoring her piano lessons. She said, maybe next time. :)

That is one thing I like about my daughter.  Most of the times, she understands what is the priority and what’s not and then understand really if I got no budget for what she wants me to purchase for her.
