Tuesday Toot {Feb 24}

It’s been awhile since my last post for Tuesday Toot because I just felt that a single toot is not worth tooting. lol! But today even i just have only a few, id like to make a toot entry.

1. Today started the Week of Spiritual emphasis. And in the two sessions, i felt that the words of study is speaking to me. It’s feels like it’s coaching me to wake up to realize that i should live my life more meaningful.

2. My girl is growing each day and she sees what am going through. Number one problem these days is financial and last Saturday she asked me why am not in Bangkok working. She knew that if i am going abroad i would be very uptodate in paying her school expenses. I told her that am staying for now because i want to see her grow be by her side as she studies. I told her that she should pray hard that something more better will happen to this present job.

3. Two weeks ago i was moved to a new department. The job assignments were not too easy nor too hard. AT times i get the methods right away but when there are too many things to do, i forgot so i kept on asking. The other day, i made my personal notes in a small notepad so that i can glance at it everytime i forget. Since the November 2008 Nursing Licensure Exam result was out last Friday and then yesterday was a holiday so i got busy today updating the statistics and i’ve done the two courses. One more to go for tomorrow then am done.

Tuesday Toot – June 10, 2008

Today is the first day of school for my ten turning 11 little girl and seeing her prepare this morning also gives me excitement. I still can’t believe how time flies that my little girl is now a biggie girl and on the fifth grade.

I know this year is a financial challenge for me as well as it is for her but I know that we can make it. As we went out last Thursday to buy her school supplies, and a pair of black shoes and a cloth for an additional blue uniform – i really told her that she should use her supplies sparingly because it is not known when we could have money to buy supplies again. She went to school today in her new shoes and she prayed that it won’t rain later in the afternoon so that it won’t get wet.

Last week-end, i was away to Initao for a week-end retreat with the College admin, faculty and staff and guess what I did last Saturday? I took one of the best sunset shots in the world (hahahaha i just love my own). I say one of the best because thus far, since having a camera of my own, it is my first time to capture my nicest take so far.

Tuesday Toot – May 27, 2008

At last i got something to toot about this week. I have missed couple of weeks at TT because I just feel there was nothing exciting to share. Now something happened middle of last week (after Tuesday already) so i thought of sharing that experience in TT as my entry today. So my TT this week is HERE. Presently, I can say that most of the money is gone but I felt so light headed, less pressured and have genuine smiles. I still have petty problems but not as much before i paid my bills. I guess living as a single mom with many others depending on you is not an easy job – but this time, at least i have find some ways to help me with my monthly financial struggles.

Any by the way, not all the money went to my bills. I also took a part of the amount to buy me some books for my reading pleasure and also another footwear as posted in here.

Tuesday Toot – April 29, 2008

My TT for this the one here. This happened last Sunday (April 27, 2008). Although the couple are young, the lady is 23 while the guy is 33 – I still think that me at 35 am still too young and inexperienced to be one of their wedding sponsors. But that’s what friends are for. right? So with that, i sort of think that it was a baptism for me to become a certified adult. (that’s my own opinion because there is no law in the land that says that one can be truly a certified adult unless he or she become this or that. right? That day i was just not one of the sponsors but accidentally turned also to be the program coordinator. It was a scary experience but i made it to the end of the wedding and went home wiht an empty stomach. Just can’t swallow food. Too much butterful in my stomach thinking that I would emcee the Reception program.

Hope am not yet too late for this meme.

Tuesday Toot – 3/22/2008

I made it to the Youth Congress Philippine Wide 2008! I almost missed it due to transportation thing. AT the last minute, the vehicle was not available but my spirit was up that I should go. Thanks to the Mayor, my mom allowed that I would go even it was already very late. I felt sorry for my other friends who were left behind. If I just had millions, even two thousand, I would bring you all to that get together even just for one day.

We arrived MVC at a little bit past 6 am and my it was cold. Hehehehe. It ws more than spring cold but I did love it!

Since the dormitory did not allow me to go into their bathroom for a bath, I was able to make it at Ma’am Carthy’s home and myyy she offered me (so embarassing) more than the bath I asked for. She offered me breakfast and also a bed to sleep an hour before I had the bath and then went out to the direction of the church with the aim in mind to mingle with friends. hahahaa. It’s Sabbath but going to church was the last thing on my mind.

I only stayed a day and a half there but I was able to met important people of my college days. I was able to bond with my college best friends (Helen & Maria Riza) pics will be posted later. I met up schoolmates and batchmates that I haven’t seen for a long long time or will never get to meet unless there’s a big gathering like the Youth Congress or Sabbath School Congress. I met up my teachers and wowwww they are so amazed of my size and I am so amaze because some of them become old which may mean am soon to get old too. LOL! My size has more tripled my college size and it really amazed them and it causes a buzz among my friends. hahaha. Hopefully next year or the next after next, I would be smaller. One teacher told me that I still 5 years to work out my health or else when I reach 40 – it’s either I die or be in a terrible disease. He is right. He is already old but still looks so lean and healthy.

So in all >> for my toot today >> I was able to bond with my college best friends. A thing we haven’t done since I graduated in October 1994 and left the campus in January 1995.

And by the way, I promised to meet them again next year – same place & date.

Tuesday Toot – April 15, 2008

Am back! I mean at Tuesday Toot. I think it’s been several weeks i was not able to make a post for this meme. Today there are only few things I the past week I would like Tooting about.

# 1 – I was able to make a trip with Dimple and friends to some nice place without asking a single cent from anyone. Hehhehhehe. I can say this because travelling for leisure is not an often opportunity especially when it is a two person expenses instead of just me alone.

# – I had my first “speed boat” ride to the fish sanctuary and even i don’t know how to swim I was still able to peep on plenty of colorful fish under the water with just google lens. Don’t u dare laugh at me hehehehe. For someone who is scared of deep waters – that act is a bit accomplishment for me. Actually it’s not only me – it’s also Dimple’s first and most everyone in this picture.

Tuesday Toot 4/1/2008

The only thing I would like to be featured in my Toot this week is the graduation of my brother last Saturday. You can see photos here.

After many many years of going to school and after 3 children — at last he graduated with a degree in Nursing. I feel i have the right to be happy about it because for the past 2 years while being here at home, he is a pain in my neck and ass. Though I don’t support him financiallyoutright, but i was sort of the food provider and some needs of his family. He was not only a pain to me but to my mom as well and the most to my sister who is working hard to support him. I guess he was the most lucky person in our very hard up family — but well, he dserves that as he is in school. We are all glad he is done with school and only the boards to be hurdled late this year which we all hope that he will pass it.

We didn’t celeberate on his graduation day but we promised him a big celebration if he passes the board.

Tuesday Toot – 3/25/08

Tuesday has come once again and honestly, I almost forgot about this. hahaha as last week i missed this meme because of too much work to do. For today, same as last week busy but i had some time to post some entries and I don’t want to miss TT again.

The past week was really a horribly busy day for me. Yet, I arrived today feeling happy and relaxed and hmmmm how can I say it.

I have been in several situations here that I guess I deserve a pat in the back. hahaha! Really, it was not easy to be in my shoes thsese past days.

1. I worked almost 24 hours for 2 days and am glad i was still up until the accreditation started. It ended today and during the exit conference we learned that we have done well enough to pass for another visit on December 2010. We are all happy at work especiallly those who have spent sleepless nights at the accreditation room.

2. Last Sunday was the recognition program for the grades 1 – 4 in my daughter’s school and in spite of a sleepless night, I was able to attend and went up with her to the stage to pick her medals and certificate. She got a silver for her GPA of 91.8. Because of just one 88, she failed to get the gold. But even then, i was still happy because she was the 2nd student who got a line of 9 score in the achievement test which made her bring home a gold medal. I can feel I am a failure mom in many ways, but somehow my daughter can realize why I really want her to study hard. It’s not the good for me but it is always for the good of her.

3. After more than two months of writing about oppsss, I earned my first Hundred dollars today! hahahahaa. Although payU2blog & PPP has not (yet! i am not giving up the hope) accepted me, i still make some oppss from other affiliates. I really believe in “little + little would become Many”. hehehehe
