Goodbye Blue Skies

I was so overwhelmed with blue skies for the past days.  We arrived in Bohol Thursday morning and right away I fell in love with its clean blue skies.  The blue green deep waters are so inviting that even for someone who is scared of the deep longs to jump in the water and swim.

But today, I say bye to the blue skies because we are heading back to Iligan City – the original home.  I have made several adopted homes around the world but there is no sweeter home than the real home.

I guess everyone feels that way, too.

Sky Watch Friday # 54

Photobucket

This is a sky photo i took last Friday afternoon right after we reached Midway Beach Resort for our Spiritual Retreat. The sun was still up but soon to go down. The beach is still warm from the heat of the sun. The water was also warm that 5 minutes after we arrived, my friend and i went swimming.   Of the 75 that went there that afternoon, only 3 of us had the chance to swim because it was almost sunset when they arrived.

Do you wanna see my comparable shots taken last year and this year from this place?  I posted it here and i would appreciate any comments. :)

For more skies from around the world check out the skyley blog.  Wishing everyone a great week-end!

Skywatch # 36

Photobucket

I took this photo one day when i was on an errand to Cagayan de Oro. I took this in a van that was running 70 kms/hr with a mobilephone camera. I did not ever think the result would be as “good” (joking me) as this. Yeah, i say it’s good because am just using a phone cam. I think this is my first landscape type of photo using the phone and since that day i never let go of the phone anymore. My sister just let me borrow it as she feels puking when she uses this N73 Nokia. :-) I just love it! But i still miss my Olympus stylus.

I posted this photo way too early but will be leaving the url at the main blog 5 hrs after this week’s Mr. Linky will be up — reason? PC at home is crushed. Am in an internet bar now. :-)

Sky Watch # 35

i should have posted this sky pic last week but i caught with many holiday responsibilities so i am just able to post now. this photo was taken on a Sunday. My city is suppose to buzz with people on a Sunday but the day this pic was taken, there was not much going around because of the bomb scare. If i have not seen vehicles going around i would really tag it as “ghost city” The day this pic was taken, two bombs were found around the city and luckily they were not yet detonated so no one was hurt.

Happy New Year to skywatch!
