The other night, i had the chance to go out with friends to have a pizza. When we went home, we dropped by a shop to buy some chips and when we reached the counter to pay, our eyes grew big in wonder when we saw a case full of condom with the caption – PLAY SAFE! We don’t have those kinds of things right here in our environment so we were curious. I even took pictures of it and made one of the student a model by holding two kinds of condoms. I almost asked if they are also selling testosterone cream , they said they have but they are out of stock. After paying, the girls just left laughing but they forgot what they bought behind. lol! It’s like we were having fun finding a lot of condoms for sale in a store. One of the condoms costs more than 300 hundred pesos (around 8 US dollars).
So our supplies at work are running low now. At the end of this month, i plan to check out the office supplies i need to replenish and order them. I need to make the requisition earlier as all signatories will be out of town by March 29 – right after the graduation. And i will be the only one left in the office. Can you imagine that? I bet the place will sound so eerie. hehehee I thought of going along the local tour (they are going to Baguio, the Corrigedor in coming back, some places in tagaytay and then they will fly to Bohol. I really dunno how much will be the total expenses. I want to go and am sure i can go but i like an activity where i can tag Dimple along as a treat or a graduation gift. 
But incase we can’t make any trip this summer – then hopefully this year we will able to have one. I need to renew her passport next month.
Last Thursday, my boss received a package from California. It’s a box (not so big) that contains a very brand new laptop. It was declared at a very affordable prize but since it was brand new, the Philippine government charged my boss a tax that amounted to more than a hundred dollars. It’s half of the declared price. That is why am having second thoughts to recommend to my friend here to purchase the newest buy dot com deal – the Acer Aspire ! If no one can carry it for her, for sure it has to be sent as package. They don’t want to be charge with huge tax fee so she is now glum about the thought of not buying the lappy yet. My bosses son have to send it as package because they just have too much to carry when they come home at the end of this month.
I will check though that if some friends are coming home for the summer, then maybe my friend has to check out again buy dot come for great deals!
guess what’s inside?
well, my friend who passed the recent nursing board examination had her birthday celebration last Monday. One of the gifts that caught her eye is this. Can you guess what’s inside? Or you want me to tell ya – well, inside was a cutie brown teddy bear holding an “ilove you” heart and the giver inserted a white envelope beneath the ilove you heart. Guess what’s inside the envelope? It was a key! I thought a key to a big house but nahhh it’s a key to a new car. Color? Shiny forest green one. ONe of my fave car colors. I guess her dad found the list of affordable car prices online so he decided it is the right gift for her 2o years old daughter.
I told my friend that she should treat me for a free ride from Iligan city to Cagayan de Oro City and beyond. hehehe
I laugh at the shopping list of my workmate because there is one in it that is not so common to all of us. Number 5 in the list is a colon cleanser her son is asking her to buy. Her son belongs to the schedule that will do the enema return demo on Monday and he wanted to do some cleansing before the said date.
I have never tried enema yet because I did not reach that course. If i continued my nursing course the 2nd year, then for sure I will experience that enema return demonstration.
I pity my students last night when they told me they felt weak and tired because of their return demo. I guess they were so stressed out trying the enema on themselves.
My friend will not be off shopping in awhile. I am not going with her because the electric power will be off in awhile for the daily 2 hrs power interruption (to conserve water supply)
When my friend got married the other year, i cannot forget the gift we gave her. I tried my best to gather enough amount to be able to buy a gift that they can use in their new home. Guess what we gave him and his bride? A tv stand ! It was for the bedroom entertainment stand although it can also be used in the living room. We wrapped the key with the delivery fee in a very big bag and gave it during the wedding reception. We did it that way because the tv stand can’t be wrapped although we placed a big bough on top of the stand. We can imagine their giggle as they saw that’s inside the big bag!
A TV stand is really a very useful gift for a wedding!
I just came in from the city and check out a gift item for a highschool kid. I am on an errand for a very busy aunt of a third year highschool boy. The boy is doing great in school in spite of slight addiction to computer games. So her aunt feels obliged to give her a belated Christmas gift and birthday gift in a form of ps3 . Am not very much exposed to that kind of game because i haven’t tried playing one. She showed me a sample so that i have an idea on what to look for. My friend is excited to give her nephew a new one because the one he is using now is a hand-me-down from an uncle who came for a visit last year.
One thing i love about MVC is the weather. Spring weather all year round except on evenings and early mornings when the temperature really drops so low that you just would like to snuggle in bed and miss breakfast and morning classes. I guess am a warm-blooded person that i love cold weather. I think i won’t even mind staying up in the North Pole with Santa Clause.
I had the chance to visit MVC last weekend and Saturday morning was so cold. We have to be up at 6 to join the sunrise worship at one of the Barangays. It was really really cold that i felt my face puffy. I was so comfy in bed because of my woolen blanket. Good thing i remembered to bring it with me.
In China, during winter, when the temperature drops to negative high double digit numbers i use my electric blanket when sleeping. It warms me to sleep and when i woke around early morning i have to turn it off because the warmers can warm me enough. I still have that electric blanket in my luggage I left in my friend’s house in Zhangjiakou, China. I dunno when i could use that again but i have in mind to visit China during the winter time.
I have moved into a new home. It’s just a room but i call it a home because it’s where am going home beginning last Monday evening. Our room got beds and lockers and i need a buddy to be with me during evening times to occupy those quiet moments. So i will be browsing through some tvs catalogue and take a pick. Hopefully soon i can purchase a personal tube. I am now beginning to miss TV because i am back in a situation where am just alone though soon my daughter will join me in my new abode.
I wish to get this. But my cash is not enough. It’s offered on sale today. So anyone interested, get a gift for yourself now.
I have a friend who is a shopaholic. If she does not go out to shop in the malls she checks out best buy sales or promo for the week. She always get good deals so many of our friends admire her talent on shopping. She goes shopping almost weekly but she never gets broke.
Last Thursday, a friend and I went out to scout for a cherry mobile just like hers. We went to two outlets but the stock is out. I then discovered that there are also other cool brands aside from Nokia. So now if i can’t buy that same one as Ma’am Ruby have then i have to save up for a nice but affordable Nokia brand. I got 3 months to go for that. But i will try my best.
When the mom of my neighbor was younger, she did not pay too much attention to her skin. Before they moved to the current location, they lived close to the beach and she would stay there until the sun goes down. Now at retirement, she aged quite a bit. She has wrinkles by her eyes and her forehead. I have been checking out night creams and also eye wrinkle creams to make her look beautiful for their upcoming golden wedding anniversary next year. Since her mother is allergic to some creams, so she has to be very careful on the cream that she will order.
I have several pairs of still usable footwears at home but am still looking forward to having a new pair of sports shoes and casual shoes. Thanks to Dansko for showing me what type of durable yet affordable i should ask a friend for a gift. Yeah if someone will ask me what i want for a gift id always say footwear. Some friends are going to Bangkok next month and for sure id tell them to bring me any kind of footwear as long as it is not expensive.
