MMA Batch 1990 Mini Meet-Up

There was a call for a mini meet-up a week before the date of meeting.  It’s been awhile that us classmates from Iligan and Cagayan de Oro and somewhere in between had been together.  Though the guys from cdo often meet-up when they could. Mas ubay ubay man pud gud sila didto. 🙂 But Clyde and family were home for a vacation from Australia, so we met and spent time with each other.

Anyways, we had the get together at a new resort in Libertad called C Resort. Thanks to Jun Dy for introducing to us the place.  It was nice. The pool was an eyes candy.

I have an eye for bursting colors so I took a lot of photos of the pool from the cabana where we lanay. Pools were suppose to be a place for swimming, but we preferred to lanay up there than enjoy the water and the sun down there. I start to think that maybe because of our age. lols! Nah they were just so busy catching up with each other.

The place is amidst nature so it was a perfect place to unwind.  To me, Mr. Sun was just so harsh that time that I don’t wanna leave the place with roof. Init jud kaayo para nako.  I kept thinking of the cool waters of Timoga. ha ha ha

Anyways, after some hours of almost “endless chika” ay catching up diay, we went out of the cabana to take pictures together.

It’s good to be together in times like this.  I can feel that we still act and laugh like high school bunch, but it’s good.  I think if we don’t have a regular meet-up, we could drift apart since almost all of us have different jobs and different priorities.  If we don’t agree to meet then pwede na mag limutay.  Sound sad. But nah some guys in the batch are very active – so we will still meet-up from time to time.  Even if none from abroad comes home, we would still meet up.

Here are some of our group photos:

The 2-day event seeks to highlight Iligan City’s local food scene in various social media platforms. Social media influencers who have a considerable following in their blogs and social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter will be invited to participate in the event.

During the tour, 20 digital influencers will be visiting participating food establishments to sample their offerings and generate live social media postings, promoting the event and the participating restaurants using designated hashtags. — IBS

Since the event is scheduled during the events I am sure I cannot complete the try outs from partners this year. But even then I look forward to joining this event because it’s a time for IBS family bonding as well as meeting new friends.

Blog Awards

Now I saw these awards in my draft envelope. I got these way back 2008 or 2009. How busy was the blogging life that I really failed to publish this post.

Sharing of blog awards are the loving way of giving out blog love during those early years of blogging. Actually, it was through blogging that I met so many wonderful people online. We met online, yet friendship lasted with time because all those blogging buddies became my friends for real.

Thank you so much blogger friends. I still have many friends who are still active in blogging. I’ve been on hiatus mode since 2-3 years back. Several blogs were already expired. Fortunately, I was able to renew this blog this year, and hopefully I can still do it next year.

I am still busy but I will try my best to update this as much as I can.

Manila Sunset

Manila sunset is one of the famous view in the Philippines anyone could capture in a camera or video.  That’s my opinion and I am sure many would agree with me.

In the many times I’ve been in Manila including the almost one year stay in Pasay, I never had the chance to go to Roxas Boulevard to take a photo of that beautiful sunset. There are many shots of it across the world wide web so it is my long time wish that one day, I will have the chance to capture it.

The chance came – February 2, 2014.

It was not included in the list of things to do during our Postcrossing – Philippines meet-up, but when walked out of The Hub to the statue of Rizal, the sun rays was ablaze. It was so near us – it promises a wonderful view of sunset, so we decided to go to the bayside  to watch sun go down over Manila Bay. So, allow me to share some shots =)

This was my first shot. I then knew that my phone cannot capture the beauty that my eyes have behold. But then anyways, I only have my phone to take pictures.

Enjoy more shots:

Here I am trying to get a zoom photo. I can’t zoom more because the result would be a pixelated one.

I have more in my file but let me just share these four.

I am glad we decided to watch the sun go down. Thanks to my companions: Sis Willa, Raine, and Joelle (new friend) — friends who just not love sunset but also postcards, stamps, and stickers. lol! Rence and Philip were with us in the meet-up but they got an appointment somewhere in Cubao so they missed the sunset that day.

Now I decided that my phone – Samsung Galaxy Win is just a fine phone. lol! I thought it is equivalent to a 3310 when it comes to modern era Samsung phones. ^&^
