I am trying to catch up!

Happy December everyone!  How time flies.  Yesterday was December first and now it is December second.  At times i wish time will stand still so that i can finish my work for the day. :)

Anyway, since it is Christmas and it’s my first Christmas in Nostalgia, let me share this month photos with Christmas spirit. I am really hopefully that i can complete the five Wednesday.  Few weeks from now, my daughter and I will be off for the holiday.  We are going somewhere in paradise. :)

Photos today happen in December 2004 at Zhangjiakou Vocational and Technical College.  It was the first Christmas that they had a foreign teacher so I tried to do something that their first Christmas with a foreign teacher will be memorable.

I let the English department hosted a Christmas program to be attended by the whole school and let my English classes (each class) do a presentation for their December examination grade. :)   After the Christmas program,  I invited all the teachers in our department for a dinner at a restaurant.  After the dinner, I went along with my boss to her home to spend the night as my place is a little bit distance from the center of the city.

We dine at a round table so our picture was sort of by angle.

Here’s my angle:

It was one cold winter night.  So all the food were hot and spicy plus the red wine.
I cannot remember if we had baijou or the rice wine.
Seems we are all having a blush here. :)

I think almost all of them gave me a gift and when i reached my bosses home, i enjoyed opening my gifts.
Here’s two of them:

When i woke up in the morning, I was excited to open up my present. This one here is from the Penny’s husband, Mr. Nan.
Miniature tea pots.  So cute.  I brought this home to the Philippines when i came back.

And this red scarp/shawl

I left it there thinking i can’t use it here in the Philippines because there is no winter.

We enjoyed taking pictures that morning with shawls.  :)

I remember that around lunch time i went back home because someone will be waiting for me online at 2 pm. :)

I am going back to China for this and other personal stuff. hehehe

I got this Christmas decor from a friend who went to England to study. When he came home to visit in 2004, he came to visit me in my apartment and gave me this. So cute and I still have it until now. What i find funny was that thing got a stamped with a sticker that says: Made in China. He bought it in England and brought it home to China to give it to me. :)

I find made in china exported stuff more durable than their products for local use.

Quick visit to the hilltop

By , October 24, 2010 5:36 pm

I was suppose to leave very early yesterday morning but instead of waking up at 3:30 i woke up at 5:15.  So i was sure that i can’t catch up the church service anymore.  I was just in there to some friends and of course to pick something from a friend.  I arrived on time when the speaker started and oh my he spoke for almost 2 hours that the 12:30 date with friends at the under the pines was doubtful.  So i went out to see Ate Sardale to inquire of the activity.

Some pics i took while traveling up to MVC on a motorbike.  :)

Anyway, i went to see Paul at the under the pines at past 1 and we talk a bit.  There were also some friends there and before the rain started we decided to move to the Jubilee Park.  I was glad because in spite of the short time i will have the chance to take photos there.

I think it was good to be at the Jubilee Park when it was not so crowded with visitors.  But one thing i observed, it’s not so Jubilee Park anymore as it was in my time or even before my time – i long for the great view of the plains beyond and the endless sky.  For now, that’s the case anymore.  It’s more like this:

I left MVC with Ma’am Apple and company at a bit past 5 and was on my way to CDO at 6:00.  Before the clock strikes 12, i was already inside the office dorm.  I jump with glee because i can imagine i would turn into a zombie if ever the clock strikes 12 and i was still outside walking towards the dorm. lol!

Though the time was limited, i had a great time meeting for a short while some friends.  Hopefully in the soon future, i can go back there and have a weekend stay at Jabby’s room. :)

Manila Trip Day 2 – Trip to Olongapo City

Our Weekend Memoirs

I woke up early but looking at the time i was already late for the agreed time of 6:30. Mel and company will pick me up at the Mc Donalds of SM North Edsa. I took the taxi camoran to north esda thinking am already very late. Good thing we arrived almost at the same time.

I was worried of the traffic but it was not so much. I took a shot of this just so i would be familiar of where I am passing. :)

I thank the taxi driver for bringing me to the right spot since we already passed by mc donalds and i was expecting that mc donalds is inside the mall. i only told the driver am off to sm north, not mc donalds. when we arrived at the mall, he said, “oh saan ka na bababa dito?” i replied, “sa mc donalds po!” And he said, “lampas na tayo!” Oh my i was worried! I don’t like the idea of getting off and then walk back because I might get lost. :D   Good thing he brought me back.  He find ways to get me back to that corner.  :)   I paid him 120.00 and that comes with a receipt. Cool!

That’s Trinoma Mall over there. And Mel told me pala to wait at the SM McDo across Trinoma.

When Mel and company arrived, i got in and after a few minutes of pleasantries i doze off.  I had a late night (1:30 am) and woke up 6:30 so for sure i was sleepy.  I love sleeping in a moving vehicle so the car really was a great place to sleep for me that time.  :)   I think i slept 80% part of the trip.  I started to get really awake when we are just a few kilometers off the Subic Free Port Zone.

OWM – EB @ Olongapo City

Our Weekend Memoirs

At last we have met and we are online friends no more. :) Mitch and I are online friends for 7 years as members of Kuro. An online community where filipinos from all over the world spent time to socialized.  Thanks to Cebu Pacific for making this trip possible.   When Mitch knew i will be flying to Manila, she did not let the chance slip away by really inviting me over to Olongapo for the EB as she can’t make it to Manila yesterday or today.

Mitch and Me with her 4 years old eldest daughter, Derelle!

With us in the eyeball was Mel.  He was the only KFG available yesterday and we travelled to Olongapo together.  This is my second time meeting Mel.  The first time we met was in 2007 with other kuro kapatids.

Proof of EB!

I was so happy for what transpired.   The world is became more colorful because of friends.  I am not yet sure when i could see them again but I am hoping with all my heart that this is not the last.

Facial Spa Experience

By , June 3, 2010 3:19 pm

I have several girl friends who are pampering themselves several times a month. So, they thought of tagging me along one time. They told me that i should try having a facial spa and foot spa. The foot spa sounds ticklish and the facial spa am thinking it’s gonna be painful. Sheila said it’s not going to be painful and for sure afterwards for sure i feel my face will be lighter. And in that shop where they frequent they have this acne serums in their creams that it is really effective for those who have tried. The cost is a bit pricey because it’s not locally made. I wish they have a trial kit – but they don’t have one for the moment.

I wish i can post a photo of my friends with facial masks. They look funny!

Toys for Kids & Gifts for Adults

By , May 14, 2010 3:39 pm

One thing i love for kiddie parties is that it is not hard to find gift for a little girl or a little boy.  The choices are endless but what moms complain most of the time is time.   It takes time to pick the right thing from the vast choices of toys you can find in every toy store or even online.

Yesterday, someone celebrated her birthday and luckily she is not a little girl but an adult one. It was so easy to pick something for her. I picked a flower silver brooch for Ma’am Ruby and i also buy a butterfly silver brooch for Ma’am Apple as a give-away gift. She will be leaving us soon for a new work assignment. Surely i will miss her but am comforted in the thought that every time she will use the bar pin, she will be able to think of me.

Postcards! (banana dance d more)

P3050255

All of these are from the one of the beautiful and kindest blogger i met in the blogosphere – Mommy Ebie! She is not my mom but i just like calling her mommy because she is one. Her one and only darling daughter Zeee is way way younger than me but i feel we are like sisters.

I know mommy E took the efforts of preparing these stamps to be shared to her online friends.  Then before they took a trip to Death Valley, i mentioned to her if she can pick some postcards for me, then i would really appreciate it.  The two cards here are from Death Valley and that Lone Pine was a place they visited some months back.

I will be scanning these cards for individual posting here in this blog, but will do so when the scanner is not so busy anymore and i also have the time to scan.   But it will be soon.!

Again, thank you Mommy Ebie!  You are the best!
