Happiness is…#01

Photobucket

Sent from Bacolod City with love. What i so love about this is the Ruby stone keychain. It’s for me and that blue one, Sagittarius is for my daughter. It’s not really the material thing that matters much but the act of thoughtfulness of the sender.  Bebbz and I are best of friends way back my Bacolod friends but happenings in life brought us apart and with all the responsibilities of motherhood and adulthood, we lost touch at times. Thanks to Facebook, we reconnect.  I look forward to visit Bacolod City soon to spend time with her and her kids.

This is my first time to join this meme and just with the name of the meme, I am going to heart it.  So, this post is linked to:

Express Service at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe, Subic

I had the chance to try the services of Extremely Xpresso Cafe in Subic Bay, Olongapo City the other year.  Our host (Mitch of Mitchteryosa) treated me and some of our Kuro Kapatid for a dinner there.  It was the first time Mitch and I met after more than six years of being online friends.  That was my first personal trip to Manila after sometime and I did not let the chance pass by without meeting her for real.

PhotobucketOne of the things I observed was the quick serving of orders.  No wonder the place is full.  Foreign service men also loves to dine there with their families.  I bet one of the reasons why people keep coming back is because of the systematic Restaurant System they got. For some people, time is very precious and dilly-dallying is not in their vocabulary.  So we were lucky that time, because no time was wasted as some of our friends has to travel back to Manila that afternoon.

Remembering my FEO

FAO stands for Foreign Expert Officer.  A person gets this job description if their school hiring foreign teachers.    They are the ones who does the endless needed paper works of the school regarding the hiring and getting permits.   Since I was their first foreign teacher, then it was like a trial and error for him.  Good thing, their city officers are always give time for the papers to be done, then there was not much problem.  Mr. Bin was one  of the FAO i worked with that I cannot forget because of his friendliness and kindness.  He is charming! A right word for him.  He is a friend to everyone and since he thinks am so far away from home, he is extra kind to me.  Always making me laugh.

This is Mr. Liu Bin and Helen in a Mongolian native costume.
They paid for this attire just for picture purposes.

Since today is Chinese new year, I remember my Chinese friends in a special way.  If I am there I can surely treat them for a free cigars – not just Mr. Bin but all all my guy friends who loves cigars.   Even though I don’t like them smoking in front of me but there are special occasions when I just tolerate them.

Token of Hope

The giver tagged this token as a token of hope.  The Bisdak Bloggers had a quick meet last December 22 in Cagayan de Oro City.  It was suppose to be a big meeting but because of the tragedy that hit the cities of  Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, there were only a few of us that came and most of us were victims of the flood.  Few days before the final announcement, the founder advised that if possible all can attend, and never mind the tokens and the additional food. So, I did just that.  I had no extra to buy tokens that day.  My money was just enough for fare back and forth. But some of us have already prepared their tokens, so they gave out that night.

This lamp is a symbol of hope.  That as long as there is oil in it, the lamp will keep on burning.  Same thing with our blogging career, as long as there are stories to tell, as long as there are DA offers, as long as there is still life — one can still blog.  I have many mommy friends who consider blogging as their career.  A few of them I met personally.   It is Christmas and I wish to give them blogging trophies. But since financial situation is not very favorable, then I will better save up for next year. These hard working mommies really deserved to be awarded.

The lamp I received is green one and I placed it in front of the pc in my office.  At least daily am reminded that no matter how hard trials come to our lives, there is always hope as long as there is life.

I Love the PMC Tokens!

These are just some of the forty plus token I received from PMC moms during the 2nd Grand Eyeball in Manila last November 22.  So I really made sure during the first few days before departure to purchase a baggage allowance.  And I was not really wrong about the idea because on our flight bag, I had a bit more stuff compared to the time when we flew in.    Thanks to all generous sponsors who really help made the event more fun and memorable for those who attended.

It was the tokens and giveaways that made me decide not to buy more niceties for gifts because of the baggage allowance.  I may have the budget to shop for more but I don’t have any budget for excess baggage fee. So I really sticked to the 15 kilos allowed to be checked-in.  My daughter and I had a chance to roam in shopping stalls but I told her we should stop doing it because we are not buying anyway. But if I had seen some jewelry supplies that are affordable, surely I would grab some because I can just place it in my handbag. Good thing I did not bring my heavy laptop or else I will need more strength to carry all my stuff.

Now let me continue this collage thing am doing to be shared here later.

Weekend Blog Follower Caravan # 26 – GFC

I am so thankful for this blogger-helping-blogger meme.   This blog is not a new blog, in fact this is one of my oldest blogs but there is no follower yet.  So am so happy for WBFC # 26 because I will have the chance to ask followers as well as I can also follow many other blogs.  In fact the home of WBFC is also new so I am also following her, in fact the first blog I followed as I made this post.  My GFC widget is at the middle part of the sidebar.  If your browser is Firefox Mozilla, there are times the  widget won’t show up, so use Chrome or other browsers, be assured the widget is there.  Thank you so much in advance for the follow.

There will be two lucky winners of $5.00 for this week.  This weeks sponsors are: Chika Bits and Dens Online.  I wish that one day too I’ll be one lucky winner of that amount. Five is five but no one is gonna give me any five anytime of the weekend. Right?  So, if you need GFC followers now, join us!

They are some of my friends from my very own hometown. Had I not enjoyed blogging then I would not meet these guys. So because of blogging, I met and knew Lai, Lovette, and Richard. They are just a few. More people will be shown later.

This photo was taken during the launching and induction of officers of the Iligan Bloggers Society. After the program, the core group stayed behind awhile for aftercare and also enjoyed posing for remembrance shots. This is one of the photos. I like to call them BIAD artists as they do good on that poise thing.
