Update on My Blogging Life

As much as i want to update daily, i find myself lagging behind of what should be done. I feel my personal time is not as much anymore when i started blogging and when i decided that i have to maintain 3 domains on top of my normal day job. Back then i could stay up late at nights to update all blogs but now the situation is not like that anymore. But even then am trying to catch up as much as i can.

There are times when i have so much to say but I am away from the computer so what i do is jot down the ideas and try to make about them later. But when i do so, my fingers just rested on the keys and not doing a thing.

Summer months is almost over and i haven’t been away yet. I feel i need a break – even a short break to rejuvinate my old self. -) Anyway that’s a longing and i hope it will happen soon. I really need to get away if i want to improve in my blogging activities and even my life in the real world.

I know what i mentioned up can’t compare for those who have more then blogs to maintain but aside from this online life, i also have a normal day time work in the office and the asst. mommying role to 40 plus girls.

Well, life is what we make it! I find mine very challenging.

The Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) group is set to play host to the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, which will be held on October 24, 2009. With the theme, “Mindanao: Bag-Uhon Ang Panan-aw,” the MBS 3 aims to uphold the beauty and strength of the island and to expunge the negative notions the world has about it.

(Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines – October 21, 2009) – It’s all systems go for the Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) as they play host to the much-awaited Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, an annual gathering of Mindanao-based bloggers, IT industry experts, community leaders and new media advocates, on October 24, 2009 at Pearlmont Inn, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City. Roughly 300 bloggers are expected to attend this year’s summit.

With the theme, “Mindanao: Bag-Uhon Ang Panan-aw,” (Changing The Way People See Mindanao) the event aims to uphold the beauty and strength of Mindanao, to highlight the diverse cultures and fascinating tourist spots that are uniquely Mindanao and to provide a platform where bloggers and other new media practitioners can discuss concerns related to Mindanao – all with the help of new and emerging technologies.

“Mindanao is the home of everything fascinating or in bloggers’ lingo – bloggable. Through the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, it is the hope of the CDO Bloggers, along with our partners and generous sponsors, that we listen to knowledgeable resource persons, meet other Mindanaoan bloggers, share and maximize all of our skills and resources and adopt tried and tested practices that can help us to fully promote Mindanao and for us to become better bloggers as well,” emphasized Chiq Montes, president of CDO Bloggers.

“Of course, we also want all of the participants to have a good time and experience the sights and sounds of Cagayan de Oro,” Montes added.

Montes said that apart from Mindanaoan bloggers, the summit will also see the participation of some bloggers from Luzon and Visayas.

Expected to grace the summit is United States Embassy’s new Deputy Chief of Mission Leslie Bassett, Atty. Adel Tamano, Agusan Lone District Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza and Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula.

Considered unprecedented in the Philippine blogosphere, a top ranking United States Embassy dignitary is set to deliver the keynote address. Bassett’s trip to CDO will be her first trip to Mindanao since assuming office in June. She previously served as DCM in Mexico.

“We are deeply honored. We’re certain that the summit participants will be delighted to meet her and we can’t wait for her to see our beautiful city,” Montes said.

Other speakers during the whole-day affair include Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula, Agusan Lone District Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza and Atty. Adel Tamano.

Google’s Philippine representative Aileen Apolo, whose talk will focus on beginners, Digital Filipino’s Janette Toral, who will discuss blog advertising and Lyle Santos, who will talk about making money online will also be present. Representatives of other blogger groups including those in Davao City, General Santos City and Zamboanga will also give updates.

After the summit proper, participants have the choice of joining either the city tour (Xavier University Museum, Cathedral, Divine Mercy Shrine, Opol Aviary, Limketkai Mall) or the whitewater rafting adventure.

Also happening on October 24, right after the MBS 3, is the Philippine Blog Awards – Mindanao awarding ceremonies.

This Blog Turns 2 Today

Blog!

I was going through this blog, i thought of checking out my first post and good thing i discovered that it was today in 2007 that i made my first post or else i can’t greet this blog.

This blog has been through a lot. This blog was started because i wanted to venture paid blogging or having fun blogging at the same time earn. So that was how it started until one time last year i thought of closing out this site because i have other blogs that sprouted. I ran out of time to update – thus the decision. I did not close yet but i made it stagnant for some months. Still a blogspot then, from PR 3 it turned into 0. When it became zero i then decided to revive using an owned domain. I wished for a domain then an angel heard my wish – thus it became www.midlifedancing.com (still on blogger format) The PR 3 never showed its shadow again though one time for some months it got a PR 2. Now it’s back to 0 but am still blessed because though it is zero – blessing still pours. It may not be as much as typhon but it showers and it rains.

Just this year, i was able have it hosted by WS thanks again to that angel for the affordable hosting.

So for those who plan to start blogging just for the heck of it – go ahead! Who knows one day you will also feel like go into paid blogging. But if you plan to blog to make millions, i have not experienced that so i can’t say yes or no.

I’d like to thank to those who have encouraged me to blog and also those who have visited this blog once in a while as well as those regular visitors.

You may be wondering why there’s no contest or blog fun to celebrate the blogsarry – sorry, i just discovered it today that this blog turns 2 today. Maybe next year.

How Time Flies & A Treat

How time flies because i realized that it’s almost a year that my Healthy Lifestyle blog is on because my domain will expire in few days. Woahhh so that’s another blog birthday. A friend will treat me for a facial when i have the time so that i get rid of blackheads. So sweet of her. I just rely on my facial soap to really clean my face only to realized that there are not so visible black heads. This time i won’t be scared anymore for a facial spa as i was a bit scared during my first time.

If women often talks about fashion, men often talks about cars. Am sure men does not always talk about women. They said there are even situations that men are going crazy for car accessories as they love their car deeply then their spouse. Huh! i can’t relate because i don’t have a spouse. lol! My boss always emphasize on the cleanliness of his car as he believes that his car represents himself. I think he is right. Whatever things we love and how it looks like reflects our personality.

Now check out the accessories that you need for your car even if you are not really a car lover.

Annoying Comment

One of my friends here at work often makes comment to another worker. A comment that is ok if being said only one time. But if it is said several times plus it does not sound as good criticism anymore than it’s bad. This friend often commented on the bulging tummy of that other worker. Good thing i found this fat burner online so am going to share this with her so that this other friend will stop her annoying and hurting comment. If it is done to me, i would be hurt too. Good thing it is not me although i also have this 24 months preggy look. hahaha. We should get that fat burner to make us look only 3 months pregnant.
