I was able to go along with friends who went photoshooting at Initao Forest two years ago. That was my first and in the group i was the only who was carrying a point and shoot camera aside from those who did not carry a camera at all. But even then i enjoyed the time. I learned some tips. I was awed with the poses of the models hired and many more.

I will be sharing of the photos i made that time. The time was in 2008.

I was giddy with happiness yesterday afternoon when i got hold of the 7 cards.  It’s been 3 weeks since the last time i picked a mail and i was so surprised when the person at the counter (ate esther) handed me seven cards.  They are from the following countries:  China, USA, France, United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, and Austria.

Hello Arlene!  This postcard shows a part of the Castle of my small hometown Fontainebleau.  It is located about seventy kilometers from Paris.  The first references on the castle date back to the 12th century and all the great kings of France have lived here for eight centuries.

On the pond are living big old carps.  It is a nice place for walks in sunny days because the castle is sorrounding by gardens.  I live 5 minutes by foot from the castle.  Happy Postcrossing!

This was taken during the Independence Day holiday.  No work.  No classes.  So, it was just a right time to accept a birthday celebration at the pool.

I didn’t enjoy the swimming very much because the pool is too deep for those who can’t swim but i enjoyed the view immensely.  Missed my camera so much.  Thanks to one of the CI’s who brought her camera with her so I was able to make these shots sky shots and more shots for Our Weekend Memories entries.

I’d like to bring you back early spring of 2003. It was a trying months for me as i was nursing a broken heart and a very chronic homesickness.   That was my first time to be working abroad.  Early spring was around February that year.  I spent almost every day crying especially when evening comes and when i woke up in the early mornings. It was like i lost a dearest puppy.

My friends believed that i can get over with what i felt. So one day, while i don’t have class in the afternoon, Helen, Henry, and Jenny invited me to visit Shijiazhuang Botanical Park. They told me it’s a plant park and I would see so many plants from all over Asia being displayed there.

So i tried to perk up myself and go with the trip. Let me share then some of our photos:

We were still wearing long sleeves because it was still cool but at the same time the sun was getting stronger to our skin that we have to drink water to hydrate us.

That is Helen in black, yours truly in red, and the other lady is Jenny.

Thanks to the green grass and yellow wild flowers at the background, it disrupts the grey atmosphere.

The place was not yet too bubbly of spring.  Traces of winter can still be felt because not all trees have turned green yet.  Thanks to my red shirt, too!  It made us look more lively.  lol!   After we saw the photos, they really hugged and thank me that i wore red or we would end up dull because Helen’s shirt was black and Henry’s was brown and black and offwhite jacket of Jenny.

See!  The world is just slowly waking up from it’s winter sleep.
I think the place still looks gloomy.  Thanks to the flower which depicts hope.

I was excited to smell it…A beautiful flower. So, am expecting a beautiful smell.

Shijiazhuang City is one of the top 10 polluted cities in the whole country.  So that explains the dirty sky you can see yonder.   Result of it, I always have irritated throat while staying in that city.  Even then, Shijiazhuang (shi-ja-juang) is an unforgetable place.   I made so many good friends there.

I felt so funny having this photo taken at this spot.

The sweetest banana in the whole world is the one that came from the Philippines.  So when i saw this banana tree, it made me long for Philippine bananas.  My friends haven’t seen a banana tree yet, so they let me stand at this spot to show to my family that Philippine banana is grown inside the botanical garden of Shijiazhuang.

Sunday Stealing: The Oh My! Meme, Part One

Yesterday, we have a total blackout from past nine in the morning and suppose to come at five thirty in the afternoon.  But then it did not come back at 5:30 instead lights came few minutes before seven.  When the power is off, we can’t do much work in the office so me and some workers had the time scout for schools which can offer us Masteral Classes.  There are only 5 of us from here and we need 5 more so that Capitol University can have the class here.  Anyhow, i called them earlier if 5 of us can be accommodate Saturday evening and Sunday instead of a Saturday daytime classes.  I will  have to call back later.

I also called up Misamis University.  Cost per unit and miscellaneous fees is almost the same with Capitol University but their classes are done on Saturday.  But the woman i talked with earlier told me that I should talk to the dean because maybe they can make special arrangements to have the class on a Sunday.  They offer Sunday classes but only for their Doctoral program.  Yeah, she’s right because one of our workers is enrolled in their doctoral program and goes to Ozamis every Sunday.

Upgrading oneself in his or her career field is very important.  There is no ending in attaining education.  And old age should not hinder one to continue studying, too.  That is why I decided to enroll this semester together with other workers.  Hopefully in 2 years time we will be done and can go on studying for a doctoral program.

I received an email the from my aunt who currently is searching for Texas Maritime lawyer . I asked what was that for? I still haven’t received any reply from her but all am hoping that all is well with her and her family.  My reply was delayed because i was offline almost whole day yesterday.  In the evening we can’t connect, too.  It seems Globe network was done in this area.  Then this morning, the connection just came back.  So am sending her an inquiry and i hope that she will write back the soonest.

The schools we called up yesterday and today for this Masteral class matters are the following:

Iligan City Medical Center College (Iligan City)

St. Michaels College (Iligan City)

Liceo de Cagayan Unviversity (Cagayan de Oro City)

Misamis University (Ozamis City)

Capitol University (Cagayan de Oro City)

Personally, I am hoping we can get a slot at Capitol University.  Second choice is Misamis University.  Liceo is also great but it’s too expensive for a Masteral program. But the 5 of us should go together so that we our Sunday class request can be added.

Several weeks ago, I lost my point and shoot digital camera. It was a painful loss. I think it was even more painful compared to losing a person. lol! Not really. Because the camera has a huge sentimental value for me, i really grieved its loss. It was my fault why it was lost so i better stop talking about it.

I know now that all I have to do is browse for Black Friday hot deals! It took me sometime to make this post because i was browsing through their laptops (netbooks) and for sure the digital cameras. The low prices of laptops make me want to have another one so that i can give to my daughter what am having now. They are really hot deals because they are even more cheaper compared to mine that was purchased last December 2009.

There are also digital cameras and i liked 2 products. A Nikon one and an Olympus one. I sent the link to a friend for her to check out and to critique. I hope i can hear from her soon.  I can’t wait to hear what will be here pick from the two:

I do not know the important features of a digital camera that i should have, but i know that these two are being offered at low prices for now.  Both are pricing at a little bit more than $200.00 and Nikon is the cheaper among the two.

Maybe you will be wondering why I’d say it’s a need – It’s a need because of the following:

a passionate blogger should have a camera;
i love taking photos of everything;
i love joining photo memes; and
i love traveling.
