From Riga & Barcelona

Last week Thursday, i got my first two cards from Postcrossing and it came all the way from Latvia (Riga) and Spain (Barcelona).

The post office staff called me up yesterday and I have 3 cards in there that needs to be picked-up.  I thought yesterday noontime i could but time did not allow me.  Same thing happened today.  HOpefully tomorrow I can and will share it here in my blog next week. :)

Hola Arlene, The Monument to Colon is one of the most famous statues of Barcelona constructed in honoring the discoverer Christopher Colon.  It is raised in the square of Porta de la Pau (Portal of Peace).  The monument was constructed as culminating point of the works of improvement of the littoral of Barcelona, done on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888.  It turned immediately into one of the icons most typical of the city.  I hope you like this card.  All the best for the next upcoming year 2010 to you and your beloved ones!  Best regards from Barcelona.

Shopping List

I laugh at the shopping list of my workmate because there is one in it that is not so common to all of us.  Number 5 in the list is a colon cleanser her son is asking her to buy. Her son belongs to the schedule that will do the enema return demo on Monday and he wanted to do some cleansing before the said date.

I have never tried enema yet because I did not reach that course. If i continued my nursing course the 2nd year, then for sure I will experience that enema return demonstration.

I pity my students last night when they told me they felt weak and tired because of their return demo. I guess they were so stressed out trying the enema on themselves.

My friend will not be off shopping in awhile. I am not going with her because the electric power will be off in awhile for the daily 2 hrs power interruption (to conserve water supply)

Taken two weeks ago. :)

See the difference? For me pimples are like pain in the ass, so i am so thankful when later i discovered some natural acne remedies that made the latter facial photo looks different when compared to the one taken last year. I know that even if i have put on some foundation when i took that first photo, still my acne would be obvious.

Though i have really controlled my meat intake, but most of the time now I am on veggies thus it also helped me control the acne growth.

Healthy foods, lots of water, good sleep and exercise really contributes to a healthy looking you. :)

Baby Boosters

My workmate’s 1 month old baby was checked up by her pedia last Friday and the new mom was oriented about baby boosters.    I can recall that i was oriented too when my kids were still a wee baby but now that they are big i totally forgot about them.  I guess it’s because i don’t need them anymore.

Nowadays, because of lifestyle there are some men who have manly problems and solution to that problems are testosterone boosters according to their doctors. Since doctor recommended, these men really tried to faithfully follow their doctor’s advice.

I really thought only babies need boosters. Old men too!

Saturday 9: It’s a Beautiful Morning

1. Are you a morning person?  As long as my alarm is on.

2. Tell us of a news story that truly shocked you. Tiger Woods managed to  run away from his angry  wife for safety when his wife found out he got another woman.  I thought it’s impossible he coulkd have time for third parties.

3. What was your very first job?  Secretary to the Business Manager and Treasurer at the College where i graduated from.

4. What characteristics do you despise?  My big and bulding upper legs.

5. To where would you retire?  I like in a quiet country place.  Anywhere  as long as am with my love.

6. Are you named after anyone?  They said my name is the name of my Dad’s first gf and i don’t ever believe it.  I think it was a stupid idea for my mom to agree on a namesake for her first child.

7. How do you release anger?  Cry. Or if i have time, go to the mall and walk around. 

8. Do you use sarcasm a lot?  Nope.

9. What is your least favorite thing about yourself?  My hair.  I often have bad hair day. :)

1. I want to find my best friend.  In you. :)

2. We don’t have to have everything in common.  Yeah it’s fine.  That would be the thrill in there .

3. I love the simple pleasures of life; sun rise, sunset, to dance, music, rain, sounds and smell of the ocean, love, laughter, a kiss…do you?  Oh this is so romantic.  And i wish it’s gonna be like this at least twice a year if not monthly.

4. I’m looking for a connection with a grown-up who in turn, takes care of themself and is not desperately searching for a person to complete them.  I easily get along with this kind of people.

5. There are no such things as coincidences…I am where I am for a reason.  I think so.

6. Everyday brings new adventures from snow mobiling, scuba diving, skiing, cycling, fishing, swimming an open water on the first day of spring, and my adventures never seemed to stop passing through my life.  Unfortunately everyday does not bring me adventures you mentioned.

7. As Michael Bublé sings it…”I Just Haven’t Met You Yet”.  I used to say that the guy for me is not yet born!  lol!

8. A person comes into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime Which one will you be?  Hmm i can’t wait to know who is he hehehe

9. I am looking for a potential long term relationship that might lead to something long term someday, however… hold on!  Yeah honestly I am and am not easily giving up.  I even don’t mind if am going to meet him when am in my fifties.

10. Please understand that I am not interested in having your children.  And who told you that you are going to have them? But you sound so selfish! lol!

Coming Home

An aunt is coming home.  A coming home we all look forward to because she has not been home for 20 years although she country hopped Europe for all those years.  Something bad happened to here early last year that it looks like she is applying for disability appeal because of the pain she felt in her upper and lower back. I guess she was not complete cured after she fell off the high wall while working in her company’s grocery store. Poor aunt! Very hardworking and kind and she still experience this kind of pain. Anyway, we promised her a lot of relaxing days and daily massage for her to relax once she is home. Although some of us neices are really wondering if she could relax the first two weeks because there would be lots of family and relatives who would like to see her and say hello and maybe have a chit chat. But it’s a coming home we all look forward to!

I remember i used this theme last year when this blog’s setting was transferred to WS.  I think it’s great for the season.  Happy Valentine’s day everyone.  I hope everybody will feel much much love tonight and the morrow until all the tomorrows of our lives. :)
