Today we ripped this meme off a blogger known as Tattooed Minivan Mom from the blog The Scattered Mind of a Tattooed Minivan Mom. She explains that she got it from Janana Bee. It appears Jana might have actually written this meme. But, it could have stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time. Sunday Stealing: Janana’s Now Vs. Then Meme
It’s been a while since we had to post rules. But here we will list the relevent ones:

*Think back to ten years ago on this month.
*Write truthful answers and ELABORATE. This makes it more interesting!
*If you don’t have a scanner you may omit #14 but I think if you do you should totally do it!
*It’s about personal changes. Have fun with it!

Then: August 1999

1. Age:  I was 27.

2. Romantic Status:  Married

3. Occupation:  House wife

4. Fun night out:  None. I just had a baby 2 months before

5. My BFFs:  One in HK, one in the US  and other one in another city

6. I spent way too much time:  taking care of my baby and the family.

7. I spent not enough time:  taking care of myself.

8. I wanted to be when I grew up:  a corporate woman.

9. Biggest concern:  I really wanted to be a working mom because i have a profession yet the hubby does not want me to.    The love-respect relationship was obviously going downhill and am trying my best to compromise but it was all too one-sided.

10. What my biggest concern should have been:  I had no other options that time.

11. Where did I live:  Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines

12. Dumbest thing I did that year:  Agreed to marry him.

13. If I could go back now and talk to myself I would say:  I should have used my head more than my emotions.

14. Picture of me then:  I don’t have one. That was a preggy year eh.

Now: August 2009

1. Age: 37

2. Romantic Status:  Attached (LDR)

3. Occupation:  Administrative Secretary

4. Fun night out:  None because most of the time i am online.

5. My BFFs:  Still in HK and the other one still in another city.

6. I spend way too much time:  in my online world

7. I spend not enough time:  keeping myself toned and fit

8. I want to be when I grow up:  Happily living in a country home with my family and with someone who loves me as i am.

9. Biggest concern:  My daughter’s future.

10. What my biggest concern should be:  Me getting a great job that pays good so that i won’t be too worried over my daughter’s future.

11. Where do I live:  Iligan City, Philippines.

12. Dumbest thing I have done this year:  Still can’t over with someone  with whom i have shared all my joys, my frustrations, my dreams, my hopes, my self, and all in all my world.

13. What I think I would say to myself in 10 years:  Thank God for never ever get tired taking care of me.

Summary:

1. What do I miss most from 1999:  Seeing and taking care of my daughter in her toddler years and she was not with me during my China years and my small figure.

2. What do I miss least from 1999:  Those times i spent with the man i agreed to marry – ex hub.

3. What have I accomplished in 10 years that I am most proud of:  Worked abroad for 3 years.  Supported my daughter through school all these years.

4. What have I NOT accomplished in 10 years that I wish I had:  Married to a the person who really loved me of who I am. And i was not able to finish my nursing course.

New Bed

I got a new bed.  Not new from the shop but it’s  new because i just newly used it.  T’was my second night last night using it.  I decided to have the double deck so that my daughter can sleep with me in the same room.  With the new bed, we now have a bigger space compared prior to the installation.  The big space calls for a TV and then it means i have to browse for tv stands, one that i can afford, so that if finances will allow me then ican buy a small TV so that i will be able to watch my shows without interruptions. :)   My sister just moved in with us and she has different TV program preference.  So i am thinking id better have my own TV to avoid trouble. :)

Sunday Stealing: The Alpha Meme

My roommate and I once: had a fight because of her grandmother.

Never in my life have I: smoke a cigarette (first hand)

High school was:  great and unforgetable that i wish i can experience high school life again.

When I’m nervous:  I can’t relax.

My hair:  is still short and i hope it will be longer in 3 months time.

When I was 5:  I can’t remember anything now.

When I turn my head left:  I can see a Lysol disinfectant spray.

I should be:  strict to stick to my losing weight plan or program.

By this time next year:  i will be a year younger.

My favorite aunt is:  None really. hahaha  All are favorites.

I have a hard time understanding:  Algebra

You know I like you if:  I talk to you with interest. :)

My ideal breakfast is:  Coffee with milk and bread.

If you visit my home town:  you will see a lot of water falls and the grandest there is Maria Christian Falls.

If you spend the night at my house:  It would be very boring.

The animal I would like to see flying besides birds:  Horse!

I shouldn’t have been:  Too open and too trusting.

Last night I: slept at the hospital.  Taking turns in making my nephew go to sleep everytime he woke up and cry.

A better name for me would be:  Sharon. :)

I’ve been told I look like:  Phoebe Cates (when i was younger)

If I could have any car, it would be:  a Hilux or anything as long as it’s a car that is functional.

Saturday 9 : Rain

While humming the song rain gently falls whenever you said goodbye…and let it rain let it rain let it fall…am feeling heavy inside but i have to forget it because i still have to check on this ceramic tile featured and also do this Saturday 9. hehehe

I love the rain although it depends mostly on the situation.

1. What do you typically like to do on a rainy day?  I love to sleep.

2. Tell us about the last time you did something you later regretted, that you can share with us.   I turned back a nanny job opportunity for a royal family in Saudi Arabia in 2002.

3. I recently got an email from a lover from a very long time ago. I was asked “Have all your dreams come true?” If it were you and it was from someone you remember fondly, how would you answer the question?  I’d say not all of my dreams came true yet.  Maybe it would have been if i have spent my life with him. hahaha

4. If you had a job interview and was asked, “If you were an animal, what kind would you be (other than human?)” How would you answer that question.  I’d like the a dog.  Because a dog is man’s best friend.

5. Do you think it is a good idea to share with a new lover stories of your past lovers?  Not good. Not bad. It depends on the situation.  If he asks for it well id share — but not all the details.  Some things can be left unsaid but can be understood. :)

6. When do you think it is permissible or even important to lie?  If  it would endanger the life of a person.

7. What was the last thing you did that you never thought you would?  I don’t think i’ve done one lately.

8. What is one important lesson that you learned from your mother?  Work for an education because it is something that no one can take it from you no matter what happen.

9. What is one important lesson that you learned from your father?  None.
