Hmmm i love this tag! Thanks to Mitch for tagging me with this. Too timely because i have experienced it today. hahahaha

If Louna and Deye are not into Princesses thing yet, mine already is. hahahaha! For this week alone, she has watched Princess Anastasia over and over again that I also have to ask her over and over again too if her teacher let her watched that for a homework. And she would just sheepishly smile at me with that pa cute cute look. And when I had enough I let her stop stop the movie. Last Friday they had no class so it was a NO TV day and NO getting online day for her. I was pissed off with Anastasia. Today she did it again! Really! Though I really don’t like her to watch it often over her studies, but I love to hear her sing the songs on the movie. She has memorized them too. When my mom heard her watching it today AGAIN! my mom got angry and she switched it to Moses. Moses the cartoons is her 2nd choice.

Now am passing the tag to Shern and Amos and Zac, and Hailey’s girls.

Online! Rugby 6Nations World Cup Championship

By , February 2, 2008 2:39 pm

I introduced that site to my cousin based in Texas who is a rugby fanatic. He could miss meals as long as he is glued to tube watching rugby matches. He even had collection of rugby memorablias. Now, I had the pleasure to introduce him to one site that contains it all for the 6nations Rugby World Cup Tournament: The rugby dream team official website. I told him check it out and you will find it very interesting! The site shows schedule of tournaments, tournaments news updates, and results. It also offers interactive games and podcasts section for six nations fans. You can watch video highlights like you are at the game site and also member’s stats.

He checked on the website this morning and yipeeee he loved it! He offers a bet of $100 with anyone who go against his pet country to win. He said – “cool site! I can watch every game just through a few clicks of my mouse.” He has only 1 out of the 6 pet country which he hopes to win. I said I will make my choice after the first half of the season.

Who are these 6 countries? They are: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales.

He said thanks to RB6 nations online he can use his savings to fly to Europe to watch the championship. For sure he still can truly enjoy it at the comfort of his living room or the bedroom on late nights.
Now this site reminds me of those other sites who offer convenience for people who can’t travel to game sites to watch the game.

How about you out there? Are you too a rugby fun? If you are and is following the 6 nations rugby dream team tournament, then Rbs6nations is for you, too.

Additional Policy for an OFW

By , February 2, 2008 1:24 pm
OFW – Overseas Filipino Worker. Because of a hard life here at home, many Filipino worked abroad. The number is scaling high. It can’t be denied that the situation here at home is getting worst. Now in this post, I would like to share with you a new news that really sounds discouraging to current OFW and those who are still planning to go and work abroad through direct hiring.

Before, direct hiring is desired for less hassles. Sometimes being hired through an agency requires a big amount of placement fee. Usually being directly hired, the expenses are refundable just like what I experience with 2 other OFW when we worked in China. But with this new news, I doubt if direct hiring can still be an option.

Maybe you wonder now what news am telling you about. Hehehehe..befoer i go further, these are two links that worth your time to read and understand and can say your point.

OFWs TO END UP PAYING 8K BOND UNDER POEA RULES

DIRECT HIRING RULES MEANT TO PROTECT OFWs

Well, maybe if the government will be successful on this, the number of OFW might lessen and those who are outside will not come back anymore. Maybe more will go out now on a tourist visa and will end up working illegally.

I really think this is a horrible and very heartless news to OFWs and to those who are still aspiring to go and work abroad. Anyway, as a former OFW i would give my support to ban this new rule if there would be a signature campaign to ban this new rule.

I wonder, if this happens, who will be blessed with that tons of money provided that OFW will not end up dead in other countries.

I have the same thought as this person when this news was shared to me today:

The Kapatiran sa Gitnang Silangan (KGS), the Riyadh-based organization assisting distressed Filipino migrant workers, said that the new guideline would hit hard several Filipino consultants in various fields, particularly those in the IT and banking sectors.“Who ever crafted these circular has only money-making motives at the expense of the workers. For sure, foreign employers would shy away from hiring Filipinos and hire other nationalities to save the $8,000 bond for every hired Filipino worker,” said Mario Ben, KGS spokesman.“Where will the money from the bonds go, and how would it be used if worker has problems with employer? If the worker-employer relationship is going well, who would benefit from the money?” Ben added.

Am At Home Today

By , February 2, 2008 1:14 pm
It’s like am inside the home economics building today. I cooked for the family morning, noon, and evening. We had boiled leafy veggies in the morning and baby fish omellete. For lunch, we had left over omellete and fat less tuna in brine. We had fresh buko mix with fruits to quench our thirst. It was so hot today. It feels like 40 degrees C. For dinner, I made fish tinola and fried fish. Am a bit tired cooking and cleanig the kitchen, so I put off washing the laundry. My hands are getting tired coz aside from household work, I did post several entries in my wordpress blog and I hope to blog a couple here before hitting the bed.

My girl is getting sick. She is having a hard productive cough. I just encouraged her to avoid frozwn water and to drink lots of tap water until she will feel better. She drinks but yet complain that she always go to the bathroom to pee. hehehe

I hope everyone did have good day today!
