Eating Noodles the HealthyWay

By , January 13, 2008 7:10 am
In reality, eating instant noodles is unhealthy. But I don’t understand why in almost all stores in my country, noodles abound! Endlessly! And people buy it everyday, too! Most household have it in their homes. Even one brand put on an advertisement that noodles can make a kid bright. I think that ad is misleading as MSG causes dullness and even kidney problems.

In my home, we often have a few packs of them every week but we don’t eat them the way it is. When I say bad, it should mean we should not eat it. But I made a way that I can eat noodles and give it a tag of – eating noodles in a healthy way.

1. Cook the noodles according to instruction except that double the portion of water being mentioned. If the instruction says 1 cup, use 2. If it says 2 cups, use 3 and so on.

2. While waiting for the water to boil or it has started to simmer, add tomatoes. Ample amount of red tomatoes and wait for it to boil and the tomatoes cooked.

3. When tomatoes cooked and boiling is going on, add thinly sliced carrots, thinly sliced spring breans, and the flavoring powder. Add it full because you have doubled the amount of water instructed on the label. Allow it to boil for a short time.

4. Add thinkly sliced cabbage, or lettuce, or pechay.

5. Serve hot!

In this way, the monosodium glutamate that goes with the noodles is not much and the soup has nutrients because of the vegetables cooked with it.

Do you love noodles? I do! But I cook and eat it this way. :)
