A Shoeholic Me But…

By , January 11, 2008 3:39 pm

Guess what?

I haven’t got a new pair this Christmas or the past month.

I was chatting with a girlfriend last night who also love shoes and she told me that her last purchase was last month (a sports shoes) and promised or made it as a resolution that she will never buy a new pair unless she needs a new one. hehehe. It’s a good resolution I guess because in Bangkok, footwears are so affordable that if it suits your budget, you can buy a new pair every week if not every day. Hehehe

For me, I won’t make that “never to buy shoes when needed” resolution because I don’t buy one every month. I just buy a new pair when I have extra and if I don’t have any extra money, then at least every other month.

For the information of everyone, I don’t buy expensive or branded ones. I always wear cheapy ones so that I can buy more and have a different wear daily. ;-)

Killing Me Softly

Behind my office is a part of the maintenance department. For more than a year while working at my cubicle, we always have the daily noise pollution and air pollution. Noise is caused by machineries and air pollution is caused by paint and other painting materials they use on woods. When both pollutes us (me and my boss and the evaluation office staff), it affects us so much in the first hour or two but after that our ears and nose get use to it.

Months back, the machinery was moved to the other side of teh building, leaving the painting or finishing touches of carpentry behind, thus the air pollution has not been solved.

When someone who has sensitive nose enters the office would always comment, “hmm what a horrible smell.” I don’t react because I am not smelling anything. Hehehehe

Today, one of the staff complained about the strong smell of paint again that she moved to the adjacent office to work. I said, i don’t smell anything. Then she said, that paint smell is killing us softly because we inhale pollution in our own workplace everyday!

I then thought of the song: “killing me softly”

I have WON something free online! Yes! that’s me. :)

I was really felt stupid for not posting about this. Not for fame of myself but at least I can lead readers back to Ethan’s Poetic Money site. His contest is still going on for a free $50.00.

Because of this winning, I now conclude online contest is REAL. This is my first win online and am so happy about it.

The prize was 300 Entrecard credits so I made an Entrecard account. As of the moment, am still earning more credits and I hope to use that well.
